Påhoj, a child bike seat and stroller in one

Purpose and goal

The fundings from Vinnova has made it possible for me to employ consultants to reconstruct and developed my product Påhoj further and fulfill the safety requirements needed to be able to reach the market. These tests have been simulated and analyzed in CAD. A lot of rework has been done to find the best construction possible that combines the functions of a stroller and bike seat. A great effort has been put in to assembling the seat, since it will demand a large tooling, which will also be very high-priced.

Expected results and effects

The construction has been reworked and made it possible to make a new prototype which can be tested towards users. I expect to get a lot of valuable feedback on the usage and verify functions. If there is something that is unclear for the user or something seems vague how to maneuver, there will be an opportunity to correct this. The new and well defined construction has made it possible for me to start communicating with production and get valuable comments.

Planned approach and implementation

The project plan had a very clear linier agenda. Gradually this plan was rearranged. Some of the later planned elements had to come early. One example was to source existing parts as soon as possible to avoid constructing these from scratch and in this way to save resources. But his also delayed the project time plan, since it was not scheduled in such an early stage.
