Important results from the project
Open TTD is an open source game for creating smart public transport. Just as minecraft has been successful in promoting discussion and debate in other areas, we believe that this game can be used in the field of infrastructure and public transport. Within the project we have developed the ability to import open geographic information to the game to create realistic scenarios in the game. We have also developed an addition to the game that allows import of existing infrastructure to scenarios.
Expected long term effects
We feel that we met the project´s goals , and our hope is that by project laid a foundation for further and wider use of the opportunities associated with Open TTD .
