More analyzes can be performed by different research projects, government agencies and other interested. Data on food and nutritional composition is requested by different software developers to build apps on fitness, food diaries, etc. People who participated in the project have learned about open data and DCAT-AP.

Planned approach and implementation

After examining The Swedish Food Composition Database for selecting which data to be included in the data set, the data was reviewed by nutritionists to ensure the data quality. Further, the dataset was described according to DCAT-AP, information on the dataset was published on the NFA website and a web service was developed.
