Important results from the project
The project has laid the foundation for future investments in advanced testbeds for IoT, 5G and 6G in the Lunda region. It has strengthened collaborations between actors and led to a new feasibility study project for a national test center. The network has been expanded with new infrastructure, and the dialogue with Lund´s municipality has been positive. The result provides good conditions for an internationally leading testbed.
Expected long term effects
There are good conditions for creating a uniquely advanced testbed based on upcoming 5G advanced and 6G in a public environment that is internationally leading.
Approach and implementation
The project has been running well and the collaboration between the project actors and other stakeholders has worked well. The project has had weekly meetings and progress has been good throughout the project. Lund municipality has invested a lot of time in establishing effective processes together with the project in order to effectively expand a testbed in a public environment based on 5G and 6G technology.
