Call Impact Innovation: Change alliances for a reformed public sector

Purpose and goal

OMTÄNKT is a change alliance and a long-term development platform for sustainable transformation in Swedish health and social care. The aim is to contribute to increased quality and resource efficiency through more integrated and person-centered care for citizens with complex needs. Through focusing on hands-on, experimental working methods and shared learning, knowledge is developed and disseminated around how public governance and management can be transformed to create increased value.

Expected effects and result

The ambition is to create systemic conditions for new behavior at all levels. - Create concrete value for patients and users. - Strengthen system leadership at multiple levels when managers and leaders build competence to lead based on the citizens´ comprehensive needs and a holistic socio-economic perspective - Build capacity and knowledge for transition through tests, reflection forums and a clear learning process. - Establish the alliance as a long term support for system development.

Planned approach and implementation

OMTÄNKT is carried out by stakeholders at national, regional and local levels together with civil society, academia and citizens, drawing on expertise in areas such as person-centred care, digitalization, governance, law and system design for complex systems. The work is grounded in real needs and resources of patients, families, employees and managers, and uses policy lab methods to iteratively test, refine and spread new and concrete governance and collaboration solutions.
