Important results from the project
The aim of the project was to develop and test an iteration of VIDEM´s Surface acoustic wave Resonance SAR bio-sensor. The goal was to build a prototype, test the prototype and evaluate whether it has achieved proof-of-concept, which is fulfilled. This has led to further development after the end of the project will continue, and in the future reach out in VIDEM´s products.
Expected long term effects
** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project resulted in VIDEM achieving proof-of-concept for a new type of sensor, which meant that it was manufactured, tested and evaluated with good results. Further development of the sensor will take place in the future and in the future the goal is that it will be applied in VIDEM´s products and thereby improve and make patient-close diagnostics available and thus contribute to the global goal "3. Good health and well-being"
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out mainly by VIDEM with assistance from Chalmers and Q-arts consulting, both of which are experts in sensor development. Chalmers cleanroom MC-2 was used for the fabrication of the sensors, and the microscopy for sensor validation was performed in Chalmers lab. The project was carried out in three work packages: WP1 (Sensor fabrication), WP2 (Surface modification and Assay integration), WP3 (Measurement and data analysis).
