Purpose and goal

The overall goal of developing, applying, integrating and disseminating tools for norm-conscious and norm-critical visualization is met through the activities, applications and publications carried out within the project. Thereby, we also believe that the project´s purpose of contributing to more inclusive urban development processes and innovative solutions for inclusive cities is fulfilled.

Expected results and effects

The tools and methods have been tested at Skanska and White. The knowledge of norm-critical visualization is disseminated and integrated at White. Within White and Skanska, distribution and integration continue after the project has been completed. National dissemination has been carried out through participation in conferences, lectures at universities and publication in e.g. Arkitekten and other industry publications. The guide and manual are available for download on project website. In spring 2020, a course in norm-critical visualization by White and RISE will be launched.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has largely followed the intended plan. Tools as well as prototypes on roles and methods have been developed according to plan. The application was started in real cases, which was followed by the researchers whose data were the basis for the developed guide and the manual, which are the final material. Evaluation of projects, training and tools has been carried out on several occasions during the course of the project according to the iterative design process. Difficulties in gathering the reference group have influenced the use of their knowledge and views.
