Purpose and goal
Aim: Create efficiency and resilience by utilizing existing vehicles for medical transport during disruptions, crises and war. Objective: Map the market potential in dialogue with end users and authorities Evaluate technical solutions, materials and manufacturing methods Analyze regulations and identify any obstacles or adaptation needs Strengthen collaboration between participating parties prior to implementation Initial study for a stretcher suspension system adapted to paratransit vehicles
Expected effects and result
Outcomes A detailed project plan for a full-scale research and innovation project on triple-use vehicles, including technical specification, business model and market strategy that is in line with the focus of the call. In-depth understanding of the technical, regulatory and market context for civil-military vehicle conversion An established consortium (Nordic Vehicle + BTH) with a broadened reference group An initial proof of concept study (TRL 2–3)
Planned approach and implementation
A coordinated feasibility study that clarifies the objective, scope, risks and benefits of the project: AP 1: Current situation description, including industry analysis and market potential. AP 2: Goal formulation and analysis (regulations), project scope/objective and boundaries. AP 3: Evaluation of the feasibility of the project: Technical/practical feasibility. Proof of concept and business models. AP 4: Risk and stakeholder analysis/final report and dissemination.
