Purpose and goal

(Purpose: Preparation for joint transnational (Nordic) cooperation to make the Nordics a globally leading region in m-/e-health.) A team of partners and a growing number of associates are in place to bring key support to Nordic startups aiming at high growth and international success in connected health. Longer term funding opportunities identified but change of scope in call requires a new investigation into options available.

Expected results and effects

A team of Nordic partners, with a joint vision (10 000 new Nordic jobs in connected health), aligned plans, understanding of assets available from each one, connections with other initiatives relevant, such as Nordic test bed projects, WLSA San Diego, Nordic Innovation House programs Silicon Valley and many more. In parallel, partners are gathering a growing Nordic community and arranging activities supporting startups. At least 18 startups benefit from the pure existence of this team alone.

Planned approach and implementation

Funding to travel and meet has been crucial to team building and planning. 8 Partner Meetings, utilizing tasks/experiences from activities funded separately, and learning from each other, to plan and move forward. A Finish partner was involved from start. Meetings were arranged in connection with startup community activities or separately at partner sites. The team has also engaged in Convergence Summit (San Diego), Park Annual (Göteborg) and Week of Health Innovation Denmark (Odense).
