Important results from the project
The Nexus Vision project had as goal to assemble a broad national excellence cluster around the vision of research and development on nuclear technology solutions to transform society to fossil freedom. Nuclear technology offers specific advantages that other non-fossil power sources cannot provide and as such has great potential both in Sweden and on a global scale.
Expected long term effects
We will establish an excellence cluster that drives society’s transformation to fossil-free energy, with nuclear technology as its backbone. These technological developments, in both fission and fusion, will grow into a major export market with Swedish world-leading players.
Approach and implementation
We conducted a number of workshops to bring together academia and industry. This was followed by a series of meetings and numerous dialogues to identify the key stakeholders and the critical researchers needed to build Nexus.
