Purpose and goal

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project´s main aim and objective during UDI2 has been to develop a product at the same time as system-changing activities were to be prepared and implemented. The iterative product process has resulted in the development of complete prototypes with associated packaging. Business and communication plan has been developed. A proposal for a first international menstrual protection standard has been presented. The charity gala has unfortunately been postponed due to the prevailing pandemic.

Expected results and effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** A product has been developed that will contribute to increased opportunities for the Swedish raw material industry. The good knowledge of users and requirements, in combination with the work with a first international menstrual protection standard, will lead to both increased safety and improved health effects as well as reduced environmental impact. The new sales channels and the culturally adapted educational work that has been developed contribute in the long run to the way one looks at menstruation in Sweden and internationally is challenged .

Planned approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** UDI2 has entailed a shift from the UDI1´s idea stage to the development of a prototype through an iterative development process, commercialization work and a number of system-changing activities, such as the proposal for a first international menstrual protection standard. Due to the pandemic, most of the project´s communication between the parties has been digital, but this has worked surprisingly well. During the project, the parties have adjusted the project plan to meet the new challenges posed by the pandemic.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
