Next generation material-component products and IPR for Molecular solar cells

Reference number
Coordinator DYENAMO AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 1 962 000
Project duration April 2017 - March 2019
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The overall ambition of the project has been to realize commercially relevant material-components and IPF for chemistry-based so called Molecular Solar Cells, e.g. perovskite and dye-sensitized solar cells. The chemical material-components are the “high-tech” ingridients of the Molecular Solar Cell technologies. The project deliverables has resulted in improved prerequisites for research and commercialization of Molecular Solar Cells.

Expected long term effects

Project targets have been met. Dyenamo has during the project developed and launched >10 material-components in various categories, such as dyes, hole conductors and copper-complexes.

Approach and implementation

The project has been carried out in three sub-projects, i) organic dyes and copper-complexes, ii) hole conductors, iii) new concept for low-cost dyes. Moreover, the project consisted of three parts. VINNOVA evaluated the project after completion of each part and decided to continue the project. The project has followed the project plan without revision.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
