Purpose and goal
The goal of this project is to prepare a competitive Horizon Europe proposal for developing a novel non-aqueous absorption system for efficient CO2 capture across diverse flue gases, aiming for higher efficiency, lower costs, and reduced environmental impact.
Expected effects and result
The project will deliver a competitive proposal for a new generation of non-aqueous solvent systems for CO2 capture from industrial flue gases. The technology aims for higher energy efficiency, faster CO2 absorption and desorption, improved solvent stability, lower costs, reduced environmental footprint, and validated pilot-scale performance for large-scale industrial use.
Planned approach and implementation
To strengthen the main project proposal, we will focus on three key areas: building a strong, well-balanced consortium covering all required expertise and value chain elements; designing a coherent work plan with clearly defined roles and technical responsibilities; and preparing a competitive proposal aligned with the call’s scope, including a realistic budget. Given the expected high competition, strategic planning and partner engagement will be crucial.
