Important results from the project
Aim, to in collaboration with local practitioners, develop and embed new organizational solutions and services for older peoples security in rural areas was reached. Aim to describe the conditions, opportunities and difficulties in collaboration between different actors, knowledge requirements and regulations and to identify potential impacts and the need for new roles and regulatory changes - was reached. The goal to theoretically develop new forms of organization and organizational solutions for increased security in social care of older people - was reached.
Expected long term effects
The project has contributed to the joint development of innovation and efficiency through collaboration on issues that organizations previously worked with side by side. The problem area had high relevance for the participating project partners and relates to issues that they themselves, already drives or plan. The project also contributed to high quality in the development of practitioners in the field and to deeper knowledge and skills in other welfare areas as well. This has been done through a close connection to social work education and its practice.
Approach and implementation
The planning process involved representatives of older people themselves and practitioners, such as emergency services, home help care and police. The representatives where part of the reference-/stir group. An interview study was done to gain an overall picture of the current situation and needs. In creative future workshops common needs and future ideas were highlighted and a number of specific action plans for future work were initiated. Result of the project has been and will be presented in research networks, participation in conferences and scientific publications.
