Purpose and goal

SNITTS purpose is to strengthen the individuals and the organisations which work in the intersection between academia, institutions, government and industry. Through professional development of the individuals, and together with our members, we find the processes and procedures to improve the efficiency of the utilization of research. Through this work SNITTS helps to create value and growth in Sweden. The project has resulted in a positive membership growth and has increased the number of partnerships/collaborations.

Results and expected effects

Participants in 2015: SNITTS courses, 27 participants; SNITTS annual conference `Innovation by Collaboration´, 165 participants; workshops, 51 participants; seminars, 234 participants. During 2015 SNITTS also organized one study trip to England for Innovation Office Fyrklövern. In most of the activities we can see a significant increase of participants in comparison to the beginning of the project.

Approach and implementation

During 2015 SNITTS, in parallel with operating activities, pursued a development process and entered a new phase. SNITTS has strengthened its dialogue with the members, focused on having a more open dialogue with them and also to be more responsive to their needs. In the autumn of 2015 SNITTS office made a qualitative telephone inquiry with a broad base of members. The result of the inquiry has contributed to the development of SNITTS activities and it also shows that the network SNITTS provides is of great value and offers a unique service to the members.
