Important results from the project
Suitable combinations of surface- and heat treated components together with Tricolit® have been identified in the project and an implemenation plan has been prepared in cooperation between Bodycote and ANS . A large number of components have been coated by Bodcyote followed by testing according to requirements by ANS and end-user. Bodycote has indentified suitable quality procedures and tools for the coating. The main goal, to have at least one product in production within a year after project completion has been reached.
Approach and implementation
The project has been completed in time and within budget. Pilot applications have been selected, component coated with Tricolit®, followed by testing and optimization as planned. Results have been documented and risk assessments have been carried out as decision support when deciding product requirements and writing specifications. A product launch package has been compiled for the implementation. The cooperation between ANS, Arcos and Bodycote has worked very well.
