Important results from the project
The intention of Logistikdatalabbet was to establish a national and neutral arena to explore data-driven innovation in transport and logistics and work to ensure that the industry uses the opportunities offered by digitalization and shared data. The goal fulfillment in terms of the data lab becoming a permanent environment has been a challenge. However, CLOSER will continue focusing on these questions. Examples: legal aspects and the value of sharing data.
Expected long term effects
- Enabled networking, knowledge sharing and dissemination, e.g. seminars/workshops/monitoring Physical Internet - Business relationships and development have emerged out of project activities - Catalyst: initiatives, project development and projects (ex. GreenRoute (DS), Federated learning (TRV)) - Contributed to Trafikverket´s assignment "Utarbeta förslag om horisontella samarbeten och öppna data för ökad fyllnadsgrad". Has experienced challenges in making data volumes accessible and developing a generic platform (a common industry challenge).
Approach and implementation
The project has enabled dialogue and increased knowledge sharing between actors. The commitment and participation in seminars/workshops show that there is interest in these questions. Challenges with the structure and proposals for changes in future project: - The commitment regarding data sharing should be clearly stated in the applications phase - Fewer formal project partners: Instead of including a large number of project partners, a more careful selection would have been beneficial - reducing complexity, admin and ease decision making process.
