Purpose and goal

Based on Swedish strengths and demands, the project has aimed at mobilising Swedish key actors who in alliance may influence the contents of future calls within Horizon 2020. The primary objective is to increase the Swedish participation as coordinators as well as co-applicants. Thus, some specific information and support measures aimed towards potential participants are justified, as well. The project has been carried out fully integrated with the suggested platform HälsoIKT under the common name ´Digital health´.

Results and expected effects

A core of engaged key actors has been identified, as well as strengths/demands and some specific information and support measures. In order to achieve more powerful influence, and in order to reduce the costs, we will in the execution phase seek cooperation partners in other European countries with similar interests. In some cases Nordic constellations may be preferred, while other countries with specific strengths may be more suitable for other issues. We will also pay small traveling grants to experts able to represent Sweden in strategic conferences with influence potential.

Approach and implementation

Strengths and demands have been mapped and processed by interviews with key persons and in two workshops with about 40 participants each. In addition, the core group has had several working meetings. Altogether further strengths and demands have been identified, prioritised and linked to activities in the dimensions influence, information and support. A core of engaged key actors have been identified. In addition, a preliminary budget for the execution phase has been established.
