Important results from the project
This project has mainly been centered around 1) informing about the European funding opportunities available for Swedish NGI applications and 2) representing Swedish NGI interests at European level.
Expected long term effects
In general, the NGI contact point effort has included the establishment of a national contact network consisting of SMEs, foundations, incubators, universities, institutes, authorities and other private and public actors. The work has also involved active participation and representation of Sweden in FIF with enhanced visibility within the NGI work at EU level. Several Swedish third-party players have received NGI funding in open calls.
Approach and implementation
The work at the national level has revolved around establishing contacts with Swedish stakeholders (SMEs, foundations, universities, etc.) who can be served by third-party funding or participate at the intermediate funding level together with European parties. In general, 2018 was devoted to broad communication efforts to establish contacts with Swedish stakeholders. In 2019 and 2020, the effort was more focused on established contacts to support and follow up NGI stakeholders in application activities for intermediate or third-party financing.
