Purpose and goal
The goal is to organize a national coordinating function, to create a clear roadmap for its work and to initiate operational activities in accordance with the delivery plan. Continued support is needed at the highest level at university hospitals, universities and the business community. The aim is to develop a mission statement, strategic plan with a budget for the next 5 – 10 years, which is realized in an agreement for sustainable funding of the coordination function for ATMP in Sweden.
Expected effects and result
Established national coordination function around ATMP according to the above aim and objective for the project with the outcome goals - Patients´ equal access to treatment including the opportunity to participate in clinical trials - Promotion of research - Translation of research into product development and production in Sweden
Planned approach and implementation
Steering group and coordination group already established. Agreement on communication efforts needed with project partner Föreningen ATMP Sweden. 6 months: Choice of organizational form and basis for funding needs to be anchored with the parties. 12 months: Design of agreement between the parties including secured funding. External communication activated. Activities that secure patient perspectives started. 18-24 months: Agreement signed for coherent coordination.
