Important results from the project

The project has largely met its objective and strengthened Nano Denticas´s position as a future supplier to the global medtech industry. We have developed and tested a scalable production process for our patented material – bioactive fluorapatite – in relevant volume, which was a key objective. Despite some challenges, a 100-liter trial was able to be carried out, which provided important insights into the key parameters of the process and future delivery capacity.

Expected long term effects

By validating parts of our manufacturing process at a relevant scale and deepening collaborations with industrial partners, we have laid a strong foundation for commercialization. The project´s results have increased our preparedness for regulatory eligibility requirements, enabled future production deliveries and strengthened our credibility with international customers. In the long term, this is expected to contribute to increased exports and a stronger presence in the global medtech market.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented according to plan with some adjustments to address practical challenges. The focus was on technical validation of the manufacturing process and business development in dialogue with industrial partners. The technical part required replanning as we and RISE initially interpreted the project description differently, but after adjustment, an important 100-liter trial could be carried out. Despite minor delays, all planned activities were completed
