Modular Dual Use Off-Grid Network Infrastructure (DUON)

Important results from the project

Sitemax accelerator LEAD has acted as a coach and a knowledge base. Our close collaboration around our focus, portfolio and packaging has continued in dialogues around strategies and customer focus for our defense-oriented part of Sitemax. The DUON project resulted in "Sitemax Tactical Hub", a capability platform, offered in different formats, for fixed and mobile use. Our objective of creating and adapting solutions/models for defense based on our existing solutions has been achieved.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to provide opportunities to more easily conceptualize, create and maintain a modular payroll to meet current and future needs for a communication platform as a basis for multiple capabilities individually or combined.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented according to the project plan´s four stages. The first stage was more demanding than planned because we did not have access, or was given access, to the contacts we we needed. We then included more outreach activities and that gave results. Our concept could then be formed in close dialogue with different defence representatives. The result is a clear possible direction forward for Sitemax.
