Important results from the project
The main goal of this project was to commence a collaboration between RISE and Chinese project partners in the area of sustainable energy systems and buildings. The project also had a number of specific goals for cooperation, exchange of knowledge and experiences, including transfer of knowledge and information between RISE and Chinese project partners; case study/studies at recipient organizations to exemplify sustainable solutions for buildings and energy systems; and seminars in recipient and home organizations. The project goals were fulfilled.
Expected long term effects
This project facilitated transfer of knowledge, experience and information between RISE and the Chinese project partners. Meanwhile, both RISE and China’s project partners have learned quite lot from each other from many perspectives, especially the way of working (i.e., culture), technologies and practices commonly used, laws and regulations, business model, interesting area. All of this will help to identify possible areas for collaboration between RISE and Chinese project partners, also contribute to achieve the long-term effects.
Approach and implementation
Three visits of the Chinas project partners were made. Knowledge and information about building energy systems from Swedish and Chinese perspective were gathered. Case study for a Chinese high school was made. Suggestions on solutions for case studies and on implementable solutions for typical Chinese school buildings were made. Results were disseminated with Chinas project partners. The project was bit delayed, as it took longer time and more discussions then we expected. One of the main reasons is due to the culture differences. In the end the project was managed with no problems.
