Mixing of Live Video Streams

Purpose and goal

The project has solved the problem of creating a live mixing service in a simple, cost efficient, geographically independent way. The live mixer mixes multiple media sources such as live video, on-demand video and still images into a live stream, which users can access over desktops, mobiles, and tablets. The solution is a cloud service and both hardware and location independent. It can mix multiple live streams for both cameras and mobiles, as well as on-demand. The service can be controlled remotely and incoming live streams can come from geographically separated locations.

Expected results and effects

The live mixer has been well received by the market. Most of our current customers have expressed an interest in the product. We are now considered a potential supplier in other contexts than we had identified from the outset of the project as a direct effect of the opportunities the live mixer presents its users with. The company now has a broader and more competitive product portfolio and is perceived as market leader due to the innovative and unique live mixer.
