Important results from the project

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The completed project Mining with Nature - Towards the goal! is in line with the objective and has developed background material in the form of checklists, templates for the mining industry´s work on biodiversity. Indicators for follow-up and reporting have been indified and an extensive training and sample collection of project has been produced. The project has attracted great interest and has been communicated via Svemin´s/the companies´ websites, in a seminar at green week in Brussels, Almedalen, an internal training day and at COP15 in Montreal.

Expected long term effects

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The outcome of the project will be a central part for the companies and the industry to reach their ambitious objective of being net positive regarding Biodiversity 2030. The industry has also received a lot of attention for its work and created credibility around a sustainable mining industry.

Approach and implementation

** Denna text är maskinöversatt ** The project has been run with a project group from participating companies and Svemin with reporting to AG Natur. Consulting companies have been procured for the project group, which in collaboration with the project group carried out the dominant part of the practical work. A steering group has guided the project with representatives from financing companies, SMI and Svemin. The project manager and the chairman of AG Natur have also participated in the steering group.
