Important results from the project
This 6-month project fulfilled the goal to develop and validate the "ELK" IoT music operating system, as a product ready for industrial production. We also successfully managed the involvement of an original electronics manufacturer and various music hardware/software manufacturers. Several business contacts with music hardware/software manufacturers across the world have been made, which we expect will result in signed contracts in the upcoming months.
Expected long term effects
During the project we developed and validated our emerging technology ELK. We also signed two contracts, one with the Italian music hardware manufacturer DV Mark, the second with Ericsson research. We extended our network to several music hardware and software manufacturers worldwide, and we expect to sign soon other contracts. One patent has been filed, a second one will be filed within one month.
Approach and implementation
The structure of the project perfectly paralleled the one set in the proposal. The project had a lifespan of 6 months and was structured into three interdependent phases: Phase 1: Implementation of advanced connectivity features; Phase 2: Management of third parties; Phase 3: Industrialization of ELK.
