Purpose and goal
Minc is a startup house owned by the City of Malmö that drives innovation and growth in the region. The incubator and Fast Track Malmö support innovative companies. The project´s aim is to further develop the incubator to better support growth companies in collaboration with actors in Skåne. The goal is to find more promising entrepreneurs and build sustainable companies faster that solve societal challenges.
Expected effects and result
More incubated companies that contribute to solving societal challenges and scale internationally. The goal is that 50% of the companies in incubation and investment will have female founders/co-founders. All companies will have access to a mentor from the business community to increase learning and networking. Minc continues to strengthen entrepreneurship through a coaching approach.
Planned approach and implementation
Companies are accepted to the incubator on an ongoing basis based on clear criteria. Those that are not accepted receive access to collective knowledge to reach the next level. Incubator support is tailored to needs with coaching based on progress. Company recruitment is done via marketing, networks, alumni, universities and actors in business promotion. The focus is on finding relevant and driven entrepreneurs.
