Purpose and goal

The aim of this project is to identify and develop products and concepts that will give a better offer of food/meals to the ´Elderly persons´ (above < 65-67) , ´Food for physical active persons´, school meals and food for hospitals with a corporate focus on ´Smart and custom made food for different needs´. These products should fulfill the demands that the meal guests and the needs identifiers have given and can be used on a test market for the target groups The aims are fulfilled by four different pilot projects sent to Vinnova and one solution for each target group has been created

Results and expected effects

The outcome is four pilot projects. Effect is new collaboration projects that have been created by an ´open innovation business development process´ called Creative Food Business, a new market company will be developed further on. It has the focus health and food ; specific motion and meals which are a completely new area. Effects are collaboration between companies/entrepreneurs, that will sell products / concept in this area. Effect is commercialisation of products/concepts to the meal guests we are aiming at. New businesses for the entrepreneurs

Approach and implementation

We have used an open innovation business process called Creative Food Business where the participant´s works together and the participants themselves guide the outcome. The participants create the innovations together, outside their own organization and support each other in the innovation- and generate the ideas. Three workshops have been carried out for the whole group with different aims . There have also been work in smaller Groups with specific themes between workshops.
