MediTuner in the UK: Building Clinical Evidence for NHS

Reference number
Coordinator Medituner AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 500 000
Project duration October 2026 - March 2027
Status Ongoing
Venture Preparation projects for international application within health
Call Deepened international collaborations for healthy and resilient societies

Purpose and goal

The aim is to identify, together with UK healthcare and digital actors, how MediTuner can best be integrated into different care models within the NHS. Through joint workshops, the project will understand needs, patient flows, working methods, data and impact goals from different perspectives and then design one or more relevant pilot schemes that create benefits for both patients and healthcare providers and generate evidence relevant to the NHS and NICE.

Expected effects and result

The project will result in a commonly agreed-upon picture of how MediTuner can be used in different parts of the UK healthcare chain. The result will be concrete recommendations for the pilot´s target group, care process, implementation, data, outcome measures and follow-up. The project will also identify which parts need to be adapted for different care models and lay the foundation for a future evidence-generating pilot.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be implemented over six months in six work packages: project management, NHS needs analysis, study design, partner anchoring, regulatory/HTA-related eligibility requirements and long-term collaboration. MediTuner works together with UK NHS actors, clinicians, AstraZeneca and Livi through workshops and joint analyses. The result will be a concrete study design, an evidence strategy and a joint roadmap for continued collaboration.
