Purpose and goal
SlideBear aims at developing a robust surface treatment solution with Triboconditioning for bearings to reduce friction by a target of 20% and extend life by 40%, targeting EV’s and wind turbines. Combining novel tool materials with mass finishing and modern lubricants, it addresses challenges in electric vehicles and wind sectors, aiming for reliable, high-performance surfaces to ultimately lower emissions and increase longevity of suitable applications.
Expected effects and result
SlideBear hope to deliver a cost-efficient Triboconditioning surface treatment for bearings, targeting 20% friction reduction and 40% longer life. It enables scalable production using vibratory machines, optimized with TotalEnergies lubricants. Fersa will commercialize the solution for EV and wind sectors, aiming for rapid market entry, increased efficiency, reduced emissions, and strong ROI across multiple industries.
Planned approach and implementation
The project includes five work packages: management, requirements, development, testing, and production trials. Progress will be reported via monthly summaries and regular meetings. Six main meetings are planned around key milestones to ensure coordination, transparency, and effective dissemination of results within the consortium.
