Call Impact Innovation: System demonstrators for the sustainable manufacturing industries of the future - step 1

Purpose and goal

The manufacturing industry is undergoing a transition towards a demand-driven, multi-circular economy to address climate change & increasing environmental requirements. Products need to be repairable, and resources efficiently recycled. Through collaboration with partners and the innovation platform Future by Lund, +90 partners, we are building the foundation for a systemic demonstrator. Using design, DPP, additive manufacturing, as a base for a sustainable, resilient manufacturing industry.

Expected effects and result

Base for an established demonstrator including: -resources/functions meeting the upcoming EU legal package. -accelerating existing knowledge, work, infrastructure and networks of participating partners and matches these against needs and areas of development, portfolios -creates knowledge exchange and development across - builds blueprints for multi-circular systems that develop functions, products and services, sustainable design and manufacturing -connects international networks and project

Planned approach and implementation

System demonstrator structure, coordination innovation platform & partnerships as well as connecting policy, business actors, research and education. Creation formal structure, model for platform, DPP framework, policy. Blueprint cases, implementation plan based on existing circular products and processes, matching to needs. Identify gaps, needs, and new stakeholders. Connect development projects manufacturing towards intersecting areas, Resilience, BioSolutions, 6G, materials development.
