Important results from the project
The project enabled the development and submission of an EIC Accelerator-ansökan for LIT1001, a local treatment for osteosarcoma based on controlled release of cytostatics. The project resulted in an in-depth business, regulatory and commercialization strategy as well as a comprehensive external evaluation that provides guidance for continued development.
Expected long term effects
The project has laid the foundation for continued clinical and commercial development of LIT1001. In the longer term, the technology may contribute to more effective local cancer treatment with reduced systemic toxicity and improved treatment outcomes for patients with osteosarcoma and potentially other solid tumors.
Approach and implementation
The project was implemented according to plan with a focus on developing a competitive EIC Accelerator-ansökan. The activities included market analysis, business development, regulatory strategy, IP strategy and development planning. The Proposal was submitted on schedule and the project resulted in a comprehensive international expert evaluation that strengthens the continued development work.
