Important results from the project
A competitive proposal has been submitted for HORIZON-2024-CL5-D2-02-03 call: (Size & weight reduction of cell and packaging of batteries system, integrating lightweight and functional materials, innovative thermal management and safe and sustainable by design approach (Batt4EU Partnership). The proposal involved the use of lightweight and functional materials, development of innovative thermal management, and adopting a safe and sustainable design approach.
Expected long term effects
A strong consortium has been established across the battery system value chain, bringing together academia and industry. The proposal development was carefully mentored, leading to the successful submission of a highly competitive proposal. Upon approval, RISE is expected to strengthen its competence in managing EU consortiums.
Approach and implementation
Potential consortium partners were contacted by leveraging existing networks in academia and industry. The project was managed through online meetings and scheduling. The Excellence, Impact and Implementation sections of the application were carefully written to create a highly competitive proposal. Mentorship and guidance were provided through the proposal development process.
