Purpose and goal
The project´s aim is to establish and lead a coordination function for the transition lab around future-proof large-scale multi-residential areas. The goal is to create structures for collaboration, learning and strategic reinforcement that strengthen the lab´s capacity for system innovation and contribute to realizing ShiftSweden´s mission and three system shifts.
Expected effects and result
Results include common working methods, policy recommendations and tested solutions for transition in large-scale multi-apartment areas. Effects are increased collaboration, knowledge dissemination and capacity for system change within the built environment sector, in line with ShiftSweden´s mission and objective of sustainable, inclusive living environments.
Planned approach and implementation
The work is carried out in four phases: initiation, co-creation and learning, complementary innovation, and consolidation and dissemination. The learning and development of the projects is coordinated through lab forums, theme groups, and a digital platform. Strategic initiatives are initiated to fill identified system gaps and strengthen the lab´s adaptability at the system level.
