Purpose and goal

Krinova´s incubator supports impactdriven food companies providing resources and expertise to accelerate their market entry. The companies that are accepted and that make an exit from the incubator are expected to have the potential to significantly influence and speed up the transition towards a sustainable food system. As a national leader in food system incubation, Krinova plays a key role in fostering Swedish innovation and supporting startups with high potential to create meaningful change.

Expected effects and result

Krinova´s incubator is expected to contribute to the development of support for young impact companies in the food sector in a way that benefits the entire Swedish innovation support system. As the swedish food sector lags in areas like digitalization, our program helps startups drive industry change. The companies in our program are expected to deliver products and services that contribute in a measurable way to to a sustainable food system transformation.

Planned approach and implementation

Krinovas Inkubator supports young impact companies in the food industry. This is done through ongoing intake, individual coaching and access to development resources according to the business´s ability. The goal is to attract up to 100 companies and incubate 10–15 per year. To strengthen support for newly started food companies, Krinova will intensify the work of linking resources and expertise to the business and creating structures that effectively make these available to the companies.
