Purpose and goal

The goal of the project was to verify our Android market in Sweden and to reach a better understanding of the target group internationally. We managed, based on data and surveys, to gather insights as well as to verify differences and similarities between iOS and Android users. By developing a MVP and distribute it through test channels, we have also been able to package a model regarding scaling users . We also got a better understanding of the next strategic step for the business , both in terms of technological development and capital requirements.

Expected results and effects

We are very pleased with the results and its effects. Some of the results were different from our hypotheses when we entered the project. The biggest deviation was related to the geographical spread in Scandinavia, where iOS is larger than Android, even though the Android market of course is critical to reach growth with a social community. Also insights about user-data and comparing these to user-opinions were very valuable. The outcome of the project also enabled a strategic change , where focus on the monetization will come earlier than initially planned.

Planned approach and implementation

The main team handled most of the execution of the project and when the team didn´t have the skills inhouse, we outsourced expertise. The main execution and implementation had the goal to actively visit and be present on the market in order to gather as accurate information as possible. Much of what we did brought facts and data which is measurable and the project was guided by the principle of being as data-driven as possible to verify our hypotheses.
