Coordinator INFORMATION EXPERIENCE SWEDEN AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 100 000
Project duration June 2020 - November 2020
Status Completed

Important results from the project

The purpose of the project was to give Information Experience an opportunity to develop a strategy for managing the company´s intangible assets with the help of external expertise. The project´s objectives were to carry out the following activities: analyze the current situation regarding intellectual property, carry out an analysis of the surrounding world, and develop a strategy for managing the company´s intangible assets. All objectives have been met according to plan.

Expected long term effects

In the initial analysis, some time was spent evaluating the type of intangible assets that the company already owns, and how these are taken care of. Existing documents were supplemented to provide a comprehensive picture of the current situation. In the same way, an external analysis was produced, including a Patent Landscape Search, as well as a strategy based on the recommendations of the external experts. These documents now form the core of the company´s strategic work on intangible assets, and will also be of great benefit in other strategic and operational activities.

Approach and implementation

The external experts contributed with a recommended method based on previous mapping projects, which was a good starting point for this project as well. By spending time understanding the business´s goals and purpose, as well as identifying existing documents that partially described the company´s approach to its intellectual property assets, the remaining time could be used effectively to fill in the gaps that were missing for a complete IP strategy.
