Project duration October 2026 - March 2027
Status Ongoing
Venture Preparation projects for international application within health
Call Deepened international collaborations for healthy and resilient societies

Purpose and goal

IoT-RELATE aims to build an international innovation consortium for technology-supported, sustainable return to work (RTW). The consortium will bring together clinical, organizational, technical and experience-based knowledge to jointly develop, test and eventually scale interventions where digital technology, IoT, sensors, self-measurement and AI are used for early risk identification, better dialogue between the individual, care and the workplace, and more accurate work adaptations.

Expected effects and result

This will position RELATE as a central partner in EU calls by: A formalised international IoT-RELATE consortium with clarified membership, roles, responsibilities, and governance structures. A prioritised portfolio of 2–3 future international innovation tracks, including one IoT/AI-intensive track and one or more intervention/testbed tracks. A roadmap for future international applications, including target calls, work package ideas, partner responsibilities and timeline for proposal submission.

Planned approach and implementation

At the beginning of the project, a mapping of upcoming calls is made, as well as an identification of any missing competencies in the existing consortium. The consortium will the meet digitally and physically in workshops where common research questions in the area are developed. In this process, ethical and legal aspects are taken into account to ensure the feasibility of the proposals. At the end of the project, the writing of joint applications aimed at specific calls begins.
