Important results from the project

The project goals were achieved by increasing understanding and knowledge of barriers and success factors for implementing IoT solutions in health and social care, with continuous application through action research. Results have been disseminated via stakeholder communication, an upcoming handbook, conference participation, and scientific publications. The project also led to new networks, collaboration with RISE, and further external funding for continued research.

Expected long term effects

The project is expected to generate long-term effects through continued research and development on digitalisation in health and social care, focusing on issues of justice, power, and democracy. Strengthened networks and collaborations will support sustained knowledge dissemination and an increased capacity to guide and design sustainable IoT and AI solutions for societal development.

Approach and implementation

The project was implemented successfully with relevant activities and developed largely as planned. The timeline was adjusted through a one-year extension with additional funding to enable more in-depth work. Collaboration functioned largely as intended, although one partner had limited participation. An external factor was that public sector actors had not progressed as far in IoT implementation as expected, which led to increased focus on preparatory and developmental processes.
