Important results from the project

This was an individual mobility project where the main goal was to visit Unity Health and their DSAA (Data Science and Advanced Analytics) team and learn from them. Anna visited Unity Health in February and had the opportunity to work closely with the team to understand how they work to put AI solutions into production in healthcare that benefit staff and patients. Strategic lessons learned regarding required resources and skills have been disseminated internally and externally.

Expected long term effects

The hope is that this project can have a continued impact on the collaboration between Unity Health and Sahlgrenska University Hospital and the Swedish healthcare sector. We hope to take inspiration and lessons from a hospital that has come a long way in its AI journey to succeed in our own development. This can give us a starting point in our strategic decisions, resource allocation and prioritization.

Approach and implementation

Since this was an individual mobility project, the project was carried out by Anna in February visiting Unity Health in Toronto Kanada for a month. While När Anna was in Toronto, she had the opportunity to meet many people within the AI ecosystem for healthcare in the city. Primarily, Anna had the opportunity to see how the DSAA team works, what skills they have access to and understand their difficulties. Anna had the opportunity to learn about their project and strategies for success.

The project description has been provided by the project members themselves and the text has not been looked at by our editors.
