Important results from the project

The project has fulfilled its aim of developing a tool that makes psychosocial working environment aspects available in the planning and designing of future workplaces as well as enabling for the participation of workers in this process. The tool is publicly available and can be used in most manufacturing organizations.

Expected long term effects

PrOSA-kontrollen, which was developed within the project, has potential to result in more attractive workplaces long term. The tool makes psychosocial working environment available in the early stages of planning and designing future workplaces by allowing for a constructive dialog about how technical solutions within projects can be understood and developed from a working environment perspective. Further, the use of the tool entail a development of skills for those how use it.

Approach and implementation

The project has been conducted through workshops and a parallel ongoing development where lessons learned from previous and ongoing projects together with a literature review have been provided as input. This has resulted in a collaborative process where researcher and the company have jointly developed a tool for integrating organizational and social aspects of the working environment, in the planning and design process of future workplaces.
