Important results from the project

Sarah’s specialist competence in digitalisation and co-production have been integrated within several of the Stockholm Gerontology Research Centre’s (SGRC) ongoing projects. Sarah centres co-production when undertaking projects which demonstrates her competence and suitability to conduct collaborative R&D work. Through her work, she has expanded her network building new multi-level partnerships that are benefitting the centre’s development work and potential to exchange knowledge.

Expected long term effects

A key outcome is that Sarah is in continued employment with SGRC as an established researcher in the team. Through her involvement in the centre’s wider research and development work, she has developed a good understanding of the health and welfare system and how the work is organised. Using co-produced approaches, Sarah involves those who may face discrimination and exclusion to actively promotes more equal living conditions for older people through her outputs in research design and reporting.

Approach and implementation

Sarah has developed and refined SGRC’s digitalisation project in collaboration with a multi-professional team of academics and practice-based researchers, and in ongoing dialogue with stakeholders. As part of a larger research project, Sarah is undertaking a co-research project with people who are seldom heard in collaboration with a city council. With the support of her mentor, Sarah has been integrated into the centre’s development work, communicating at multiple levels entirely in Swedish.
