Purpose and goal
The purpose of this project is to, in cooperation with KTH, design and develop an IT-platform to support manufacturing industry´s transformation into the emerging service based business model, where OEMs offer their products as a service. The goal is to help small to medium sized export industries to be more competitive and innovative in their service offerings. This transformation puts high requirements on an adequate IT-platform and this project has developed a systems prototype for this.

Planned approach and implementation
Projektet har genomförts i två steg; 1. Inledande förstudie i samarbete med KTH för att fastställa marknadsbehov, utmaningar och verifiera lösningsidé. 2. Detta projekt i syfte att arbeta fram en systemprototyp för att stödja tillverkningsindustrins övergång till servicebaserade affärsmodeller. Dessa två steg leder vidare till en färdigställande- och därefter kommersialiseringsfas. Upplägget har möjliggjort stegvis validering av såväl lösning som marknadsbehov.
