Purpose and goal

Travel grants for Penny´s participation in the exhibition Innovative Sweden in Tokyo, Japan. Something we undertook with great response and interest from Japanese industry, and that Penny´s founder Erik Lundström also invited as a speaker at Todai (Tokyo University). A lecture that could be performed on Friday that week.

Results and expected effects

Penny could in conjunction with this trip strengthen existing contacts with one of Japan´s largest mobile phone manufacturer as well as getting great interest from one of Japan´s largest electronics company that invited to a investors´ meeting and a joint social dinner in Tokyo. Penny now conducts deeper dialogue with the company on a possible investment in Penny, and optionally in a Japanese registered company of Penny.

Approach and implementation

The setup with participation in the Innovative Sweden exhibition, has since the arrangement matured, with its conferences and meetings with traders, investors and companies interested in doing business with us has been very rewarding for Penny. In Tokyo, the exhibition was placed on Japan´s most distinguished technology museum, which in itself is an honor for the exhibition, which complicated it for us in the exhibition when the actual conference was located on the Swedish Embassy. Alongside this was arrangement from Business Sweden and Swedish Institute was very good.
