Reference number
Coordinator Kuikka & Company AB
Funding from Vinnova SEK 400 000
Project duration November 2022 - December 2024
Status Completed
Venture Innovations for a sustainable mobility system - individual applications

Important results from the project

The goal was a demo in a real street environment to evaluate costs, implementation time, impact on the street environment, acceptance of the involved actors and CO2 emissions. The real environment was replaced with a lab environment. The emissions of CO2 have been assessed. The result is that the solution is best suited for a gradual, flexible expansion. Electrical safety has been assessed. The result is that current rules and standards are met. The results make a commercialization interesting.

Expected long term effects

We estimate that the project will have the following long-term effects when the solution is commercialized: + reduced costs and time consumption during installation which improves profitability for investors which can mean lower costs for EV owners + faster and more flexible transition to fossil-free vehicles and thus lower CO2 emissions and improved air quality + simplified expansion and maintenance as electricity is easily available + simple adaptation for new and future needs

Approach and implementation

The overall goal of the project was a demonstrator in a real street environment. Based on this, a detailed activity plan was drawn up. Production of a prototype, pre-series and tech docs went according to plan. However, finding a location and a partner for electricity proved difficult and time-consuming. The project was moved to a new site. Despite good intentions and cooperation, it was difficult to find a suitable location. Finally, the project chose to do a simplified installation in a lab environment.
