Call Develop and streamline working methods and tools within the innovation support system

Purpose and goal

Innovation Readiness Navigator is developing an open method, process and data standard to document and compare innovation progression. Maturity models like KTH IRL exist, but they are applied differently and lack a common format. This makes follow-up and handover more difficult. The standard is published openly on GitHub, works with or without AI and the advisor always owns the assessment. Parties: Chalmers Innovation Office (coordinator), Innovatum, Chalmers Industriteknik and Enweave.

Expected effects and result

The project delivers an open method, a process model, an AI-supported demonstrator and an implementation guide. Advisors get a clearer picture of the current situation, gaps and next steps, with less administration. The goal is that at least 70% of advisors and startups feel that the basis has improved. Organizations gain insight into progression rates and bottlenecks. At the system level, progression and handovers become clearer, especially to investors, and no one is locked into a platform.

Planned approach and implementation

The project will be implemented iteratively over 18 months via six work packages: AP1: needs validation with workshops AP2: method, indicators and data standard AP3: AI-supported demonstrator AP4: pilot with 8–12 ideas/startups and at least 5 advisors AP5: gender equality, bias, IP and GDPR AP6: dissemination and management The method and the demonstrator will be developed in parallel with the users. A reference group will be linked to the project from the start.
