Purpose and goal

Kvadrat Inkubiks mission is to spread entrepreneurship and contribute to a positive progress of society by promoting entrepreneurship and to stimulate innovators. The project has supported 82 idea projects and increased their possibilities to realize, test and develop new business ideas in early stages in a cost-effective and expedient manner. Some have founded a new viable company with global market potential. Others have had the opportunity to learn by failing with their idea and is eager to try again. The threshold to realize an idea is perceived as lower among the innovators.

Expected results and effects

The Project have successfully attracted a broad target group of innovators in Sweden and received more applications than expected. The innovators have testified that the project gave them the support and inspiration that was necessary to realize their idea. The support has been more cost efficient than expected and therefore accepted more ideas than planned. The non-viable ideas were usually validated early in the process, which saved resources. Some ideas have already unbundled, with a global growth potential but it is still early to determine the outcome of most viable ideas.

Planned approach and implementation

The project has made it possible to offer an increased support for a wide group of innovators in Sweden. The innovators have appreciated that support was customized to their specific idea and offered a flexible and expedient service based on their specific needs. The validation activities spent less budget than expected per idea and considered cost-effective, which made it possible to accept more ideas than planned. The project has enabled collaboration between the innovators, but also opportunities towards businesses, partners, investors and recruits.
