Important results from the project
The project achieved its goals by creating and validating a scalable model for lifelong learning with 39 modules, a digital platform, collaboration between 13 universities and industry, and the follow-up project Ingenjör5.0. Capacity was created for 1000/year and 950 participated. Policy Lab developed business models for funding and skills matching. The project created strong, long-term structures, broad collaborations nationally and internationally, and high appreciation among participants.
Expected long term effects
The project is expected to strengthen skills supply and innovative capacity through widespread training for industry, SMEs and the public sector. Integration into higher education institutions and connection to basic education create lasting systemic impact. New models for funding and skills matching with tools to manage skill gaps enable national structures for lifelong learning. Overall, scalable working methods with long-term effect are established, further developed in follow-up projects.
Approach and implementation
The project was carried out in close collaboration between academia, industry and society. The work was organized into work packages for the development of: module-based training, a digital platform and Policy Lab for system development. Modules were developed between researchers and industry´s needs around Industry 4.0 and tested in pilot rounds. In parallel, follow-up research, analysis and dissemination were carried out, which enabled continuous improvement and scalable implementation.
