Purpose and goal
Drones are central to surveillance and operations but are limited by short battery life and a lack of charging infrastructure. The project is developing a technology that enables drones to charge wirelessly directly from high-voltage power lines. This provides unlimited energy access, reduces logistical vulnerability, and increases endurance in both civilian and military applications.
Expected effects and result
In the long term, the results could contribute to increased efficiency, reduced downtime and a more flexible application area for unmanned systems in several sectors. The effects are expected to be significant both technically and operationally, but the full potential depends on further development and application of the technology.
Planned approach and implementation
The project is being implemented in stages with development, testing and evaluation of the technology in controlled environments, followed by practical field tests to verify function and safety.
