Call Impact Innovation: Preparatory project for a reformed public sector in 2026

Purpose and goal

People with mental illness, mental disability and/or harmful use and addiction often encounter fragmented support on the way to work. The preparatory project will, together with the county´s 13 municipalities, specialist psychiatry, relevant authorities and people with their own experience, examine what organizational, structural and cultural conditions are required for integrated and person-centered support to work according to IPS in Jönköping County.

Expected effects and result

The project will map the current situation, working methods and collaboration structures linked to IPS in the county´s municipalities and specialist psychiatry, and identify obstacles, enablers and prioritized development areas. It will create knowledge about how responsibility, roles, governance and collaboration need to be developed to create a more cohesive effort. The project will develop a common goal, recommendations and basis for a county-wide implementation project.

Planned approach and implementation

Three phases run partly in parallel and overlap. 1 – Mapping and systems analysis: Mapping working methods and collaboration, identifying obstacles and enablers. 2 – Joint exploration and concept development: Interviews, focus groups, workshops and study visits to explore models for collaboration, responsibility and organization of IPS. 3 – Preparation for implementation project: Compile results and develop implementation strategy, long-term collaboration model and application documents.
